Science Misinformation Workshop

- FOR HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS -

In today's age of information overload, it's increasingly difficult to know what to believe.

Misinformation about science can be especially damaging, affecting everything from public policy decisions to personal health choices.

That's why we've developed a FREE dedicated workshop for high schools that teaches students the strategies to become active participants in the fight against bad science.

WHAT WILL YOUR STUDENTS LEARN?

  1. Understand what science misinformation is, its psychological impact and how it impacts health and government.

  2. Good sources vs. bad sources for scientific evidence, and using peer-reviewed literature.

  3. Explore methods to eliminate cognitive biases.

  4. Learn how to have respectful conversations which allow others to critically think on their ideas.

  5. Formulate strong rebuttal techniques to solidify their science.
